CLARK, Pampanga – Cebu Pacific has marked its ninth year of the “Change for Good” partnership with UNICEF Philippines by recently offering a glimpse of the aviation world to Alternative Learning System (ALS) students in Angeles City, Pampanga.

The airline hosted a career talk and a tour at Clark International Airport on Aug. 8, aimed at inspiring learners to pursue careers in the aviation industry.

The event, a collaboration between Cebu Pacific, UNICEF Philippines, and the Department of Education Schools Division of Angeles City, brought together CEB employees, ALS students, DepEd officials, and UNICEF representatives.

The ALS program provides out-of-school youth and adults with a pathway to complete basic education outside the traditional classroom.

All participating students are beneficiaries of the Change for Good campaign, Cebu Pacific spokesperson Carmina Reyes-Romero said.

The heart of the event was a career talk where Cebu Pacific employees shared their personal stories and highlighted the diverse range of roles available within the aviation sector.

Following the talk, students embarked on a behind-the-scenes tour of Clark Airport.

Guided by CEB employees and airport officials, students explored check-in counters, security checkpoints, and the arrival hall, gaining firsthand insight into the collaborative effort required to ensure smooth and safe travel.

The “Change for Good” program allows passengers to donate their loose change onboard flights.

During the past nine years, the program has raised over P112 million ($2.13 million), directly supporting UNICEF’s vital work in education, health, nutrition, and emergency response for vulnerable children throughout the Philippines.

“The collective generosity of Cebu Pacific passengers has transformed the lives of thousands of children across the Philippines, especially those in vulnerable communities,” said Carmen Gonzalez Ortiz, UNICEF Philippines’ chief of Private Sector Fundraising and Partnerships.

“Every peso contributed is a vital investment in their future – providing them with opportunities to learn, thrive, and build a better tomorrow for themselves and their communities,” she added.

Cebu Pacific is the only airline in Southeast Asia participating in the UNICEF “Change for Good” program.

The initiative underscores the airline’s commitment to social responsibility and its dedication to empowering the next Filipino generation.
