TOKYO, JAPAN – Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading airline, is igniting wanderlust in the heart of Tokyo with a dynamic two-day pop-up event at Shibuya 109 from Nov. 8 to 9.

The event is designed to lure Japanese travelers to the sun-kissed shores and vibrant culture of the Philippines.

A key component of CEB’s “Fly to Your Happy Philippines” campaign, the initiative targets increased inbound tourism.

Visitors are treated to a simulated Cebu Pacific flight, offering a taste of the airline’s signature service.

Virtual reality stations also transport guests to the breathtaking landscapes of Cebu, Boracay, Bohol, and Palawan.

A raffle provides the enticing opportunity to win free round-trip tickets to the Philippines, further incentivizing exploration.

“Japan is a key market for us, and we continue to see strong growth in travel between our countries,” said Xander Lao, CEB president and chief commercial officer, during a press conference in Tokyo.

“Through this campaign, we hope to encourage more Japanese travelers to visit the Philippines and experience its diverse destinations while making their journey affordable and enjoyable with Cebu Pacific.”

Cebu Pacific currently boasts an extensive network connecting Japan and the Philippines, with direct flights from Fukuoka, Nagoya, Osaka (Kansai), Sapporo, and Tokyo (Narita) to Cebu, Clark, and Manila.

Demonstrating its commitment to the Japanese market, CEB will significantly increase flight frequencies to select destinations in the fourth quarter of the year to accommodate surging traveler demand.

This strategic expansion underscores Cebu Pacific’s dedication to facilitating travel between the two nations.

With a network spanning 37 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East, Cebu Pacific is poised to further solidify its position as a leading carrier in the region.
