PARIS, France – In a twist worthy of a Hollywood thriller, a 39-year-old social media influencer and former security guard has been arrested in the €88-million Louvre heist that stunned the art world.

Abdoulaye N., known online as “Doudou Cross Bitume,” was collared at his Aubervilliers residence just six days after the brazen daylight robbery, sending shockwaves through Paris and raising serious questions about museum security.

The suspect, now facing charges of organized theft and conspiracy, boasts a modest online following built on motorbike stunts and fitness videos.

But beneath the veneer of viral content lies a more complex reality: a 15-time offender with a previous robbery conviction and a past as a security guard at the prestigious Pompidou Center.

The Oct. 19 heist saw thieves utilizing a stolen truck equipped with a ladder and freight lift breach the Apollo gallery’s first-floor window in broad daylight.

They made off with eight priceless pieces, including a diamond necklace gifted by Napoleon I and a diadem belonging to Napoleon III’s wife, escaping on motorbikes and leaving investigators scrambling.

Abdoulaye N. stands accused of being one of the two men who infiltrated the museum.

DNA evidence found at the scene immediately links him directly to the crime.

His online persona, featuring videos of him riding a Yamaha TMax, a model similar to the getaway vehicle, has only intensified public fascination.

“We must uphold the presumption of innocence and protect my client’s rights,” says Maxime Cavaillé, Abdoulaye N.’s lawyer amid the media frenzy.

The case has already overshadowed a pending vandalism trial in Bobigny, postponed due to the overwhelming attention.

While neighbors describe Abdoulaye N. as a helpful and genuine individual, his criminal record paints a different picture.

Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuau has stated that Abdoulaye N. has been largely uncooperative with police, though he has reportedly acknowledged a partial role in the Louvre heist.

The atypical profiles of the suspects involved have fueled speculation that a mastermind may be orchestrating the operation.

With four individuals currently in custody, the investigation continues, and the fate of the stolen jewels remains unknown.

The case exposes a glaring vulnerability in the security of one of the world’s most iconic museums, raising concerns about the qualifications and vetting processes of security personnel.

As the investigation unfolds, the world watches to see if Abdoulaye N. is simply a pawn in a larger game or a key player in one of the most daring art heists in history.
