MANILA, Philippines – Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading airline, has reported a robust performance for the first nine months of 2025, with revenues hitting ₱87.6 billion, an 18% increase compared to the same period last year.

Its strong market performance is attributed to high passenger demand and a strategic fleet modernization program.

The impressive growth was driven by a 14-percent year-on-year surge in passenger numbers, with Cebu Pacific carrying 20 million passengers and achieving a healthy seat load factor of 84.8 percent.

Key Financial Highlights:

  • EBITDA: ₱22.2 billion, a 26% increase year-on-year, resulting in a 25% margin.
  • Core Income Before Tax: More than doubled to ₱2.9 billion.
  • Net Income: Soared to ₱9.5 billion, a substantial increase from the ₱3.4 billion earned in the same period last year, bolstered by gains from spare engines.

While the third quarter of the year saw a seasonal slowdown due to the adjusted academic calendar, Cebu Pacific still managed to generate ₱24.3 billion in total revenue, a 5% increase year-on-year.

The airline transported over six million passengers during the quarter, a 1% increase compared to the previous year.

Net income for the quarter amounted to ₱499 million, a significant turnaround from a ₱173 million net loss in the same period last year.

Cebu Pacific’s expansion and improved margins were supported by an 18% increase in available seat kilometers and an 11% increase in flights year-to-date.

This growth is attributed to the airline’s ongoing transition to larger, higher-capacity, and more fuel-efficient NEO aircraft.

As of September, Cebu Pacific operated over 3,100 weekly flights across 124 routes.

“Cebu Pacific delivered a strong year-to-date performance despite seasonal headwinds in the third quarter. This reflects the resilience of our business model, the strength of underlying travel demand, and the discipline of our teams in managing costs and capacity amid an evolving operating environment,” said Michael Szucs, Chief Executive Officer of Cebu Pacific.

“We remain committed to making air travel affordable and sustainable for everyone while ensuring efficiency and reliability as we aim for an even stronger finish to 2025.”

Cebu Pacific’s strong financial performance and strategic investments position the airline for continued growth and success in the competitive aviation market.

The airline’s commitment to affordability, sustainability, and operational efficiency promises a positive outlook for the remainder of 2025 and beyond.
