Cebu Pacific Launches ‘Juan Flight Closer to Home’ for OFWs

PASAY CITY, Philippines – Leading airline Cebu Pacific (CebPac) has introduced the “Juan Flight Closer to Home” initiative to encourage Filipino engineers working abroad to return home and explore career opportunities in the country’s aviation sector.

The move is part of CebPac’s comprehensive strategy to bolster its engineering and fleet management team by attracting skilled Filipino professionals with international experience.

Before the official announcement, over 10 overseas engineers had joined the airline, contributing to its growing domestic and international operations.

“Filipino engineers have garnered respect in the global aviation arena, and we believe it’s time to bring that expertise back home. This program is not merely about filling positions; it’s about providing skilled professionals with a compelling reason to return, engage in meaningful work, and rediscover the potential for building a future in the Philippines,” said CEB Chief Human Resources Officer Felix Lopez.

To facilitate the transition for returning professionals, CEB offers a relocation package that includes a complimentary flight to Manila with baggage allowance, one-time relocation assistance, travel benefits for employees and their dependents, and healthcare coverage effective from the first day of employment.

CebPac is actively seeking candidates for various engineering roles, including positions in avionics, planning, airframe systems, and aircraft structures — all critical areas that ensure the safety and reliability of the airline’s expanding fleet.

The “Juan Flight Closer to Home” program underscores CEB’s commitment to creating opportunities for Filipinos, not only through travel but also through meaningful employment grounded in purpose, pride, and local talent.
