Cebu Pacific Cancels Flights Nationwide Due to Urgent Airbus Software Update

MANILA, Philippines – Cebu Pacific (CEB) has canceled numerous domestic flights today, November 29, 2025, following a mandatory software update required by Airbus for its A320 and A321 aircraft.

The unscheduled maintenance impacts operations across the airline’s network.

“Our operations and engineering teams are working diligently to complete the updates as quickly and efficiently as possible,” said Carmina Reyes-Romero, Cebu Pacific communication director and spokesperson.

“We have also deployed additional airport staff to assist passengers and hope to normalize operations soon.”

The following flights are affected by the cancellations:

  • 5J 2511/2502 – Manila – Cebu – Manila
  • 5J 261/262 – Iloilo – Puerto Princesa – Iloilo
  • 5J 4761/4760 – Puerto Princesa – Davao – Puerto Princesa
  • 5J 4736/4737 – Davao – Caticlan – Davao
  • 5J 4768/4769 – Davao – Tacloban – Davao
  • 5J 451/452 – Manila – Iloilo – Manila
  • 5J 633/634 – Manila – Puerto Princesa – Manila
  • 5J 619/620 – Manila – Bohol – Manila
  • 5J 623/624 – Manila – Dumaguete – Manila
  • 5J 659/660 – Manila – Tacloban – Manila

Passenger Options:

  • Cebu Pacific has contacted affected passengers via email, offering the following options accessible through the “Manage Booking” portal on their website:

Free Rebooking:

  • Passengers can rebook their flights for travel within 30 days of the original date without incurring fare differences.

Travel Fund:

  • Passengers can store the ticket value in a virtual CEB wallet for future bookings or add-ons.

Full Refund:

  • Passengers can request a full refund of their ticket.

Flexible Booking Policy Extended:

  • Recognizing the potential for further disruption, Cebu Pacific is also offering flexible booking options for passengers with domestic and international flights scheduled between Nov. 29 and Dec. 1, 2025.
  • These passengers can rebook or opt for a travel fund up to two hours before their scheduled departure through the “Manage Booking” portal.

Check Flight Status:
