MANILA, Philippines – Yanna Ong isn’t just building a beauty brand; she’s building a testament to the power of grit and audacious dreams.

From a humble ₱60,000 investment selling clothes in wet markets to the CEO of Why Not Yans Beauty Trading Inc., Ong’s journey is a masterclass in entrepreneurial spirit.

Her brand, a rapidly ascending force in the beauty and lifestyle sector, is fueled by confidence, creativity, and the unwavering belief that anything is possible.

“Nothing in my life came easy,” Ong admits, a statement underscored by her diverse career path.

Before conquering the beauty world, she navigated the male-dominated construction industry, scaling rooftops and deciphering blueprints at just 18.

By 19, she was a general manager, battling prejudice and proving her mettle through sheer hard work and a keen understanding of marketing.

“Once you truly understand your product, it’s easy to make others see its worth,” she asserts, a philosophy that permeates every aspect of Why Not Yans.

The pandemic, a crisis for many, became an opportunity for Ong.

She launched six successful pet supply stores before pivoting to her true passion: beauty.

This pivot birthed Why Not Yans, a brand that goes beyond superficial aesthetics, aiming to be an all-encompassing lifestyle destination.

“I wanted to create an all-in-one brand,” Ong explains, envisioning an app that seamlessly integrates skincare, lifestyle essentials, and even electronics.

Why Not Yans boasts a premium lineup of derma-tested and FDA-approved products, meticulously crafted with Thai craftsmanship, Japanese precision, and Korean innovation.

Ong personally tests and refines each product, ensuring quality and effectiveness.

Standout products include the Kinu Instant Whitening Perfume Lotion, the Kinu (No Whitecast) Instant Whitening Lotion, the Fuko Tinted Sunscreen Breeze Light, the Kuchi Velvet Matte Lip Tint, the Kuchi Magic Lip Oil, and the Shizuku Derma Glass Skin Set, each designed to empower individuals to embrace their best selves.

“All our products are safe for everyone – men, women, and even teens,” Ong emphasizes, highlighting the brand’s commitment to inclusivity and adherence to strict FDA and Halal standards.

While grounded by her humble beginnings, Ong’s vision is soaring.

Currently, Torch Diva Maluh Barry, 2025 Miss Charity Global Gerlaine Silva, and actor-director-host Art Halili Jr. embody the brand’s ethos.

However, Ong dreams of a future collaboration with style icon Heart Evangelista.

“I see that she believes in trying even low-end brands,” Ong explains, admiring Evangelista’s authenticity.

“I think if I let her use my products, I’d get an honest review, and it’s Heart Evangelista!”

“Maluh represents what our products stand for,” Ong says of her current ambassador.

“That beauty never fades — it just becomes more confident and radiant with time.”

Looking ahead, Ong plans to expand Why Not Yans into electronics and lifestyle items, solidifying its position as a household name.

And, in a testament to her multifaceted ambition, she even harbors dreams of returning to showbiz, perhaps in an action movie alongside Ian Veneracion.

Yanna Ong’s story is a powerful reminder that success isn’t a matter of “if,” but a matter of “Why Not?”

Her audacious vision and unwavering dedication are transforming the beauty landscape, one radiant product at a time.

Her life embodies the brand’s core philosophy: to dream boldly, work smart, and face life’s challenges head-on.

For Yanna Ong, the only question is: Why not?
