PASAY CITY, Philippines – The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has imposed an immediate seven-day suspension on all Approved Training Organization (ATO) operations of Omni Aviation. This decisive action comes in the wake of an emergency landing involving training aircraft RP-C8864 in Arayat, Pampanga, on October 3, 2026.

The incident occurred during a forced landing, resulting in the training plane flipping over after its tires snagged on the embankment of a rice field, as confirmed by CAAP spokesperson Eric Apolonio.

Effective October 4, 2026, the suspension encompasses all flight and ground training activities. This measure is a crucial component of CAAP’s comprehensive investigation into the incident. Additionally, the Pilot-in-Command involved has also received a seven-day suspension from all pilot and flight instructor privileges.

CAAP reiterated its unwavering commitment to aviation safety, pledging to implement all necessary protocols to protect flight operations, personnel, and the general public.
