PAL To Boost Manila-Los Angeles Route Starting June

MANILA, Philippines – Philippine Airlines (PAL) is increasing its Manila-Los Angeles (LA) nonstop service from 14 to 18 weekly flights starting June 1, 2026, to meet surging demand for travel between Manila and the US West Coast.

The move underscores PAL’s commitment to strengthening its North American presence and fostering economic ties between the Philippines and the United States.

The expanded schedule will see the current twice-daily Boeing 777 service increased to three times a day on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

“By increasing our capacity on this key route, we are opening doors for travelers to experience the world-class service and heartfelt hospitality unique to Philippine Airlines, while also supporting the dynamic economic relationship between the Philippines and the US,” said PAL President Richard Nuttall.

The increased flights not only provide more travel options but also facilitate seamless connections to PAL’s extensive domestic and regional network, simplifying travel across the Philippines and Asia.

Passengers arriving in Los Angeles will also benefit from enhanced connectivity to destinations throughout the United States via PAL’s partner airlines.

This strategic expansion to Los Angeles aligns with PAL’s broader North American growth strategy, including the planned increase in Manila-Seattle services from three to five times weekly starting Nov. 25.

These additions complement PAL’s existing daily flights to San Francisco and Guam, thrice-weekly service to New York, and five times weekly flights to Honolulu.

Beyond passenger travel, the increased flight frequencies will significantly boost cargo capacity by up to 60 tons per week between Manila, other parts of Asia, and Los Angeles, with onward connections to various US states through airline and trucking partners.

The initiatives reaffirm PAL’s dedication to providing exceptional service, improving travel accessibility, and showcasing the Philippines’ rich culture and renowned hospitality to a global audience.
