MANILA, Philippines – A chilling security alert plunged Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) into high alert on Thursday morning, July 2, 2026, as Philippine Airlines (PAL) Flight PR300, bound for Hong Kong, was grounded for several hours following a reported bomb threat.

The incident triggered an immediate response from aviation security forces. In a statement, Philippine Airlines confirmed the temporary hold on Flight PR300, emphasizing their adherence to strict security protocols. “In accordance with established security protocols and in coordination with relevant authorities, the aircraft was thoroughly inspected and subsequently cleared for departure,” the airline stated.
