MANILA, Philippines – Cebu Pacific has won a Bronze award in the Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) category of the prestigious 2025 Economic Times Human Capital Awards (ETHCA).

Cebu Pacific stands out as the sole Southeast Asian airline honored in this year’s ETHCA lineup.

The award body celebrates organizations that exemplify exceptional human resource practices and prioritize people-centric strategies.

The accolade highlights Cebu Pacific’s unwavering dedication to fostering a culture of inclusivity and promoting equitable opportunities for all.

“Diversity and inclusion (D&I) are at the heart of our leadership and growth philosophy. This recognition reaffirms our belief that empowering our workforce directly enhances our service to passengers and the communities we serve,” said Felix Lopez, Cebu Pacific’s chief human resources officer.

Over the years, the airline has pioneered progressive D&I policies within the Philippine aviation sector.

It was among the first local airlines to hire openly transgender cabin crew, recruit female pilots, and extend health and travel benefits to common-law and same-sex partners of employees.

At the core of its diversity initiatives is the incluCEB Space campaign, designed to cultivate psychological safety and inclusivity throughout the organization.

This initiative is bolstered by the Juan CEB Community (JCC), an employee-driven network that implements programs like EmpowHER, which champions women in non-traditional roles; Rainbow Routes, promoting LGBTQIA+ inclusion; and Sky Parents, supporting solo parents.

Cebu Pacific also mandates diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training for leaders and new hires.

In a significant step towards inclusivity, the airline has partnered with The Vanguard Academy (TVA) to launch a three-year program that creates internship opportunities for neurodiverse individuals, facilitating their integration into the workforce.

These initiatives have established Cebu Pacific as a trailblazer in workplace inclusivity within the region.

In 2024, it made history as the first airline in Southeast Asia to be certified as a Great Place to Work®.

Additionally, it has been recognized as one of the top employers for recent graduates by the education and careers platform Prosple.
