MANILA, Philippines – In anticipation of a surge in passenger traffic for Undas (All Saints’ Day), AirAsia Philippines is increasing flight frequencies on key domestic routes throughout this month.

The move aims to accommodate Filipinos traveling to and from the provinces to honor deceased loved ones and spend time with their families during the long weekend.

The airline is boosting capacity on routes from Manila to popular destinations, including:

Caticlan:

  • Increased from 46 to 54 flights weekly

Cebu:

  • Increased from 47 to 56 flights weekly

Iloilo:

  • Increased from 28 to 32 flights weekly

Tacloban:

  • Increased from 24 to 26 flights weekly

Tagbilaran:

  • Increased from 21 to 24 flights weekly

Puerto Princesa:

  • Increased from 20 to 21 flights weekly

Kalibo:

  • Increased from 17 to 19 flights weekly

Cagayan de Oro:

  • Increased from 14 to 16 flights weekly

“As one of the country’s busiest travel periods approaches, AirAsia is fully prepared to serve our ‘kababayans’ (fellow Filipinos) who will be paying respect to their departed loved ones or spending quality time with family during the long weekend,” said AirAsia Philippines President & CEO Capt. Suresh Bangah.

“These frequency upgrades are designed to offer more seats and flight options for our guests, ensuring a smooth and convenient travel experience.”

Building on last year’s impressive 83 percent load factor during the Undas season, AirAsia Philippines anticipates even higher demand this year.

To ensure a smooth travel experience during this peak season, AirAsia Philippines advises passengers to:

Book Early:

  • Secure the best fares by planning trips at least a month in advance.

Check Baggage Allowance:

  • Weigh bags beforehand and purchase additional baggage allowance via the AirAsia MOVE app or website to avoid higher counter fees.

Check-in Online:

  • Save time by checking in through the AirAsia MOVE app and proceeding directly to bag drop counters.

Arrive Early:

  • Expect longer queues and arrive at least two hours before domestic flights and three hours before international departures.
