However, eyewitness accounts paint a different picture.

Witnesses alleged that immediately after the cameras ceased rolling, Sanker demanded the return of the P100,000, replacing it with a meager P200 or $3.50.

Reports even suggest the individual received a paltry P100.

This discrepancy has ignited a furious backlash across social media platforms, with thousands of Filipinos accusing Sanker of exploiting their vulnerability for personal gain.

Critics contend that Sanker is leveraging the allure of financial assistance to manipulate followers into engaging with his page, thereby artificially inflating his engagement metrics and maximizing his revenue streams.

His primary content revolves around ostensibly gifting money to his supporters, but he seemingly chose the wrong country to execute this strategy. Filipinos are notoriously ‘marites’ (gossips), and while he believed he was the only one filming, he was unaware of another ‘marites’ documenting his actions.”

The scenario unfolded as follows:

“Sanker, in his content, identified a student and presented her with P100,000, eliciting a visibly joyful reaction. This is the narrative presented in his video. However, from the perspective of our observant ‘marites’ compatriot, it appears the student was subsequently summoned, and a signal was given for her to return the money.”

“After returning the P100,000, she was allegedly given a mere P200, representing a paltry 0.2% of the initial sum. Consequently, the foreign vlogger’s reels have garnered 24 million views. The P200 investment is demonstrably paying off handsomely.”
