MANILA, Philippines – Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) is expanding its groundbreaking FurPAL program to all domestic routes, allowing passengers to travel in-cabin with their small dogs and creating more inclusive travel experiences for pet lovers across the Philippines. Launched in November 2025, this popular service now allows you to bring your furry companion on trips from Manila to Boracay, Davao, Bacolod, and beyond.

“This expansion helps more travelers enjoy seamless, safe, and memorable journeys with their beloved furpals,” the airline stated.

Unleash the Adventure: What You Need to Know

FurPAL is available for a one-way fee of ₱2,500 on all domestic routes. Passengers can easily add their “furpal” as a traveling companion during the booking process.

Booking is a Breeze:

  • Simply select your FurPAL flight on the PAL website, choose FurPAL on the Travel Boost page, confirm your details, and complete the payment.

Important Guidelines for a Smooth Flight

PAL emphasizes the importance of adhering to program policy guidelines to ensure a comfortable and stress-free journey for both pet and owner. Key requirements include:

Breed & Size Restrictions:

  • Only small dog breeds weighing up to 10 kg, at least eight weeks old, and fully weaned are eligible.

Limited Availability:

  • Each passenger may bring one pet, with a maximum of three small dogs permitted per flight.

Carrier Requirements:

  • Pets must travel in a soft-sided, leak-proof carrier (max size: 17” x 11” x 9.5”) with pee pads and at least two ventilation panels. Pets must remain inside their carriers, placed under the seat in front of the passenger, throughout the flight.

Documentation:

  • Health certificates, updated vaccination records, a veterinary certificate, a PAL waiver and declaration form, and a shipping permit from the Bureau of Animal Industry are mandatory.

No Sedation:

  • Pet sedation is strictly prohibited.

Safety and Hygiene

PAL prioritizes passenger safety and comfort. All flights are equipped with hospital-grade HEPA filters, eliminating up to 99.99% of airborne particles. Cabins are also meticulously cleaned with high-grade, eco-friendly agents before each flight.

As a pioneer in pet-friendly air travel in the Philippines, PAL’s FurPAL expansion underscores its commitment to celebrating the bond between people and their pets.
