MANILA, Philippines – Mia Japson, a rising Gen Z music advocate, received the prestigious Inding Indie Gawad Malasakit sa Lipunan: Youth Empowerment Music Advocate of the Year award at the 11th Inding Indie Excellence Awards on May 24, 2026, at the Camelot Hotel in Quezon City. The ceremony celebrated Filipino talent, advocacy, and social impact.

Japson’s relatable artistry and empowering presence have rapidly gained traction online and within the creative scene. Through passionate storytelling, Japson articulates the hopes, struggles, and dreams of her generation, establishing herself as a compelling voice.

For over a decade, Inding Indie Film Production has championed socially relevant narratives and advocacies, focusing on youth empowerment, mental health awareness, anti-VAWC (Violence Against Women and Children) campaigns, humanitarian outreach, and inclusivity for PWD and neurodivergent creators through impactful storytelling.

The event also recognized notable contributions from media, arts, and public service figures, including The Julius and Tintin Show, Ara Mina, Bernadette Sembrano Aguinaldo, Ed Lingao, Lourd de Veyra, and Ysabel Ortega.
