Trump Threatens Escalated US Bombardment of Iran Amid Hormuz Tensions

BRISBANE, Australia – ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE, President Donald Trump issued a stark warning Wednesday, threatening a significant intensification of US military action against Iran if Tehran’s alleged attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz persist.

“This is in retribution for yesterday’s bombing of ships by Iran. If it happens again, it will get much worse!” Trump declared on social media, accompanying his post with an image depicting what appeared to be a bombing operation in Iran.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One while returning from a NATO summit in Turkey, Trump reiterated his aggressive stance. “We just hit them very hard, and I say we hit them 20 to 1. Every time they hit us, we’re going to hit them 20,” he asserted. “And we did it last night. They did a little something today, but it was really retribution for last night.”

The President’s remarks signal a dangerous escalation in the ongoing tensions between the United States and Iran, following a series of incidents in the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.
