MANILA, Philippines – In a bilateral meeting held on the sidelines of the 29th ASEAN Labour Ministers’ Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, the Philippines and Singapore initiated discussions for a robust cooperative framework addressing critical emerging labor challenges. Philippine Labor Secretary Francis N. Tolentino and Singapore Acting Minister for Manpower H.E. Jasmin Lau convened on August 26, 2026, to explore groundbreaking collaboration in Artificial Intelligence (AI), care work, and social protection—areas poised to redefine the global workforce.
