PASAY CITY, Philippines – The New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) is investigating a recent report of a metered taxi allegedly overcharging a passenger ₱1,200 for a short transfer between NAIA Terminals 3 and 2.

Initial investigations showed that the taxi is not an accredited transport provider authorized to operate at the airport.

For Terminals 1 and 2, passengers are advised to use official, accredited transport services available at the arrival curbside or book rides through ride-hailing apps.

Metered taxis are permitted for drop-offs only, ensuring public access to the airport. Soliciting or accepting passengers is strictly prohibited.

The NNIC is reviewing CCTV footage to determine the details of the unauthorized pickup and identify the driver.

The Department of Transportation has instructed the Land Transportation Office and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board to conduct a formal investigation.

The NNIC is now evaluating additional enforcement measures, including enhanced drop-off monitoring, improved curbside surveillance, and closer collaboration with transport authorities.
