WASHINGTON, D.C. – In a series of disturbing incidents this week, President Donald Trump launched scathing verbal attacks against female journalists, resorting to demeaning language and threats that have ignited widespread condemnation.

The President’s behavior, both in the Oval Office and aboard Air Force One, has raised serious concerns about press freedom and the normalization of misogyny within the highest levels of government.

The most recent outburst occurred during Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s visit to the White House.

When ABC News reporter Mary Bruce questioned the Crown Prince about the murder of Jamal Khashoggi and pressed Trump on potential conflicts of interest related to his family’s business dealings with Saudi Arabia, the President erupted.

He dismissed ABC News as “fake news” and accused Bruce of having a “terrible” attitude, ultimately declaring, “No more questions from you.”

Trump then appeared to suggest the FCC should revoke ABC’s broadcast license.

Prior to this, on Air Force One, Trump reportedly referred to Bloomberg News reporter Catherine Lucey as “piggy” after she inquired about the release of files related to Jeffrey Epstein.

The comment, which surfaced on social media, was immediately denounced as sexist and unacceptable.

The attacks have drawn sharp criticism from media outlets and political figures alike.

CNN journalist Jake Tapper called Trump’s “piggy” comment “disgusting and completely unacceptable.”

Bloomberg News issued a statement defending their reporter and emphasizing the importance of fearless, unbiased journalism.

These incidents are the latest in a pattern of hostility towards the press exhibited by Trump, particularly targeting female journalists.

Critics argue that such behavior undermines the fundamental principles of a free press and fosters a climate of intimidation and disrespect.

The long-term implications for journalistic integrity and the safety of reporters remain a significant concern.
