MANILA, Philippines – AirAsia Philippines and the Department of Tourism (DOT) have formed a powerful alliance to boost domestic tourism through the “Discover More to Love” campaign. This partnership aims to inspire Filipinos to explore the nation’s diverse beauty, launching with over half a million promotional seats and one-way base fares starting at an incredible P208.

The collaboration was officially solidified at the Central Philippines Tourism Expo during the launch of the dedicated “Discover More to Love” website, led by Tourism Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay. As a key airline partner, AirAsia Philippines will feature a monthly series of attractive airfare promotions on this platform, granting travelers direct access to unparalleled low-fare offers throughout the campaign. This initiative significantly enhances accessibility, empowering more Filipinos to discover destinations across the archipelago.

A meeting between Secretary Mathay and AirAsia Philippines President and General Manager Anna Victoria Lu highlighted the airline’s commitment to the national tourism campaign. By making travel both accessible and affordable, AirAsia seeks to reintroduce the country’s rich destinations, vibrant cultures, and unique experiences to both Filipinos and international visitors. This strategic move comes amidst a robust resurgence in travel demand and improvements in operating conditions.

“AirAsia stands united with the DOT in its mission to make travel accessible, enabling more Filipinos to embrace the incredible destinations within our country,” stated Anna Victoria Lu, President and General Manager of AirAsia Philippines. “Even amidst evolving challenges, AirAsia remains dedicated to offering the best fares and deals. Our partnership with the Department of Tourism deeply embeds our shared goal of driving domestic tourism growth, a principle inherent in our low-cost DNA.”

The inaugural promotional series, “July Let’s Fly and Go,” is live until July 5, offering one-way base fares from P208 across seven domestic routes. Travelers can secure flights from Manila to Bacolod (P208), Kalibo (P328), Cagayan de Oro (P428), Iloilo (P438), Cebu (P538), Tacloban (P658), and Caticlan (P768). Bookings are available from June 8 to July 5, 2026, for travel extending from June 8, 2026, to May 31, 2027.

Enhancing traveler flexibility, AirAsia continues its 1x Zero Change Fee policy via the AirAsia MOVE app. This allows guests one complimentary flight date or time change, provided the adjustment is made at least 48 hours before departure. Applicable fare differences may still apply.

Beyond leisure, this initiative is a cornerstone of the Department of Tourism’s broader business continuity and recovery strategy. It is meticulously designed to stimulate domestic travel, bolster tourism enterprises, and empower Filipinos to rediscover the myriad destinations and experiences the nation offers, particularly during this period of national resurgence.

“We are incredibly proud to partner with tourism stakeholders like AirAsia Philippines in championing the ‘Discover More to Love’ campaign,” commented Tourism Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay. “This initiative aligns with our expansive goal of fostering year-round domestic travel. By facilitating travel during off-peak periods, we not only offer travelers greater value and enriched experiences but also empower tourism enterprises to maintain consistent bookings, sustain vital jobs, and strengthen local economies throughout the year. Our DOT website will continuously evolve, and we invite every Filipino to shape its future with us.”
