MANILA, Philippines – Despite facing supply chain challenges and weather disruptions, Cebu Pacific (CEB) continues to demonstrate resilience, carrying over 22 million passengers year-to-date and strategically managing capacity to ensure operational stability.

The airline also marked a significant milestone with the launch of its A330neo flights to Bohol, bolstering connectivity and offering a more sustainable travel option.

While October 2025 saw a slight dip in passenger numbers to 2.1 million, a 1% decrease compared to the previous year, Cebu Pacific’s year-to-date performance remains robust.

The airline has flown over 22 million passengers, a significant 12.3% increase from the 19.6 million carried in 2024.

This growth is fueled by both domestic and international travel, with domestic passengers increasing by 10.8% to 16.4 million and international passengers surging by 17.0% to 5.6 million.

The seat load factor (SLF) for the year averaged a healthy 84.3%, demonstrating strong demand for Cebu Pacific’s services.

“October reflected our active capacity management, as we navigated ongoing supply chain challenges, particularly those related to Pratt & Whitney engines, as well as weather-related disruptions,” said Mark Cezar, Cebu Pacific’s chief financial officer.

“Capacity growth was intentionally moderated to ensure operational resilience ahead of the peak travel season,” Cezar added.

Cezar also noted similar challenges in November but anticipates a return to double-digit capacity growth in December and January.

A330neo Takes Flight to Bohol

In a move to enhance connectivity and provide a more comfortable and sustainable travel experience, Cebu Pacific launched its A330neo flights to Bohol-Panglao International Airport. The 459-seater aircraft will operate daily between Manila and Bohol, offering increased capacity and opportunities for both domestic and international travelers to explore the island province.

The inaugural A330neo flight was celebrated with a water cannon salute upon arrival in Bohol, marking a new chapter for CEB’s operations in the region.

“As we bring the A330neo to more domestic routes like Bohol, we reinforce our mission to make travel accessible for every Juan and to support tourism and economic growth across the Philippines,” said Atty. Maria Cecilia Natividad, CEB Vice President for Corporate Affairs.

Cebu Pacific is the largest operator of A330neo aircraft in Asia-Pacific, with 13 in its fleet. The A330neo is known for its fuel efficiency, consuming up to 25% less fuel per flight and producing less noise compared to previous generation aircraft, contributing to a reduction in carbon emissions and a more sustainable travel option.

This strategic expansion of the A330neo network underscores Cebu Pacific’s commitment to providing affordable, accessible, and environmentally conscious travel options for its passengers while supporting the growth of tourism and the economy in key destinations like Bohol.
