Cebu Pacific spokesperson Carmina Reyes-Romero says that effective September 15, 2026, travelers on Cebu Pacific (5J) flights will enjoy a more generous hand-carry allowance, increasing from 7 kg to 10 kg. This update reflects CEB’s commitment to continuous improvement, ensuring that “every Juan” travels with greater ease.

While Cebgo (DG) flights maintain a 7 kg hand-carry allowance, the revised policy for CEB flights offers enhanced freedom for essential items onboard. This adjustment, coupled with clear guidelines on item count and dimensions, streamlines baggage management, accelerates pre-departure procedures, and optimizes on-time flight performance.

Enhanced Carry-On: Two Items, Ample Space

Passengers are permitted two hand-carry items:

One overhead bin bag

Max 56 cm (H) x 36 cm (L) x 23 cm (W).

One personal item

Fits under the seat, max 20 cm (H) x 35 cm (L) x 20 cm (W).

The airline reminds passengers to ensure they can comfortably lift and stow their luggage. Adhering to these limits minimizes delays and fosters a seamless boarding experience. Items exceeding these allowances require check-in and are subject to applicable fees.
