PASAY CITY, Philippines – AirAsia Philippines is signaling a new era of growth and commitment to affordable air travel with the grand opening here of its new headquarters called “The Red Horizon.”

The launch, held on Wednesday (July 9, 2025), coincided with the airline’s Mid-Year Sale, offering one-way base fares for as low as P77 on over 330,000 seats.

AirAsia’s state-of-the-art facility will house over 1,500 Filipino “Allstars,” solidifying AirAsia’s dedication to democratizing air travel within the Philippines and beyond.

The opening ceremony was attended by Sen. Erwin Tulfo and key figures from the aviation sector, including Office for Transportation Security Undersecretary Arthur Bisnar, Manila International Airport Authority General Manager Eric Ines, and Civil Aeronautics Board Executive Director Carmelo Arcilla.

Capital A CEO Tony Fernandes, Deputy Group CEO for Airline Operations Capt. Chester Voo of the AirAsia Aviation Group, and AirAsia Philippines President and CEO Suresh Bangah led the welcoming party.

Fernandes stressed the resilience and energy of AirAsia Philippines, stating, “The resilience of Philippine AirAsia is something to marvel at… The energy of this company is unbelievable.”

“It is true, there is no AirAsia company like this. We’ve gone from two planes to 255, and this year we’re carrying 90 million passengers.

“We’re just short of carrying 1 billion people since we started this airline 23 years ago. Everyone has maintained their humility, maintained their hard work, and most important about AirAsia is our passion to be the best.”

Tulfo echoed this sentiment, praising AirAsia’s role in connecting communities and driving economic growth.

“From its humble beginnings, AirAsia has become a pioneer in budget air travel — not just connecting destinations, but connecting dreams, families, businesses, and cultures,” he said.

“As a public servant, I deeply value how AirAsia plays a role in economic development, tourism, job creation, and nation-building. Your growth is the country’s gain. And rest assured, we will continue to support an environment where enterprises like AirAsia can soar even higher.”

“The Red Horizon” is designed with a distinctly Filipino flair, incorporating modern values of inclusivity, collaboration, and national pride.

Key function rooms are named after the major Philippine islands – Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao – symbolizing unity and regional representation.

The facility also features dedicated prayer rooms, a fully equipped gym, and a “People First Stop,” a dedicated space for employee support and mental health resources.

To celebrate its new headquarters, AirAsia Philippines has launched its Mid-Year Sale, offering incredibly low fares.

From July 7 to 13, 2025, travelers can book one-way base fares from just P77 for travel between Aug. 1 and Oct. 15, 2025. This promotion covers all 10 domestic routes, including popular destinations like Bacolod, Cebu, Iloilo, and Boracay, as well as international routes to Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, and more.

The combination of a new, inspiring headquarters and a massive seat sale positions AirAsia Philippines for continued growth and reinforces its commitment to providing affordable and accessible air travel for Filipinos and international visitors alike.
