MANILA, Philippines – AirAsia Philippines is kicking off the “BER months” with its highly anticipated relaunch of its Cebu hub and the “₱1 SO seat sale.”

The sale coincides with the expansion of domestic and international connectivity from Cebu, solidifying its position as the Queen City of the South and a key travel hub.

From Sept. 3 to 14, bargain hunters can snag one-way base fares for as low as ₱1 (excluding fees and surcharges) via the MOVE app.

The offer is valid for travel between Nov. 15, 2025, and March 28, 2026, with over 27,000 seats up for grabs.

The ₱1SO sale extends to newly reopened routes from Cebu, including popular domestic destinations like Davao, Caticlan (Boracay), and Iloilo.

International travelers can also benefit from fares for as low as ₱888 for one-way base fares to Kuala Lumpur and Macao via Cebu.

“Christmas starts early in the Philippines, and Filipinos plan ahead,” said AirAsia Philippines President and CEO Suresh Bangah.

“We’re thrilled to offer these value-driven fares, beginning with the ₱1 SO sale, allowing our customers to create memorable journeys without breaking the bank.”

AirAsia Philippines is set to officially resume operations from its Cebu hub on Nov. 15, with the following flight frequencies:

  • Cebu-Davao-Cebu: 18x weekly
  • Cebu-Caticlan-Cebu: 11x weekly
  • Cebu-Iloilo-Cebu: 4x weekly
  • Cebu-Kuala Lumpur-Cebu: 14x weekly
  • Cebu-Macao-Cebu: 3x weekly

“The reopening of the Cebu hub underscores AirAsia Group’s strong commitment to the Philippines,” said AirAsia Aviation Group Chief Commercial Officer Amanda Woo.

“This will allow travelers from the southern part of the country direct access to over 136 destinations across ASEAN, North Asia, and Europe via our mega hub in Kuala Lumpur. We appreciate the support of Mactan Cebu International Airport, the Philippine government, and other stakeholders in making this initiative a success.”

To support the expanded Cebu Hub operations, AirAsia recently launched a three-week flight deck recruitment drive, attracting hundreds of pilot applicants.

Qualified candidates will undergo rigorous assessments, with training scheduled to begin in the second week of September.

AirAsia’s innovative and inclusive cabin crew recruitment program, “Allstar Wednesday Castings,” continues to accept applications every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. until Oct. 29.

Interested candidates can find complete details and requirements on the AirAsia Job Portal.
