MANILA, Philippines – In a powerful demonstration of solidarity and generosity, the hosts of the noontime program “It’s Showtime” donated P1 million to contestants whose lives have been affected by recent earthquakes and typhoons across the country.

The moving gesture unfolded during the Dec. 4 broadcast, where participants from Cebu and Negros Occidental shared their harrowing accounts of survival.
