MANILA, Philippines – As Filipinos prepare for the peak travel season during All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day (Undas), Cebu Pacific (CEB) is giving passengers advice to ensure a smooth and stress-free travel experience.

With increased passenger volume expected, CEB is urging travelers to plan ahead to avoid travel delays and disruptions.

Terminal Assignment

  • Passengers should confirm their flight details, especially the terminal, on their itinerary and boarding pass.
  • CEB operates flights from multiple terminals at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and Clark International Airport (CRK).
  • Confirming the correct terminal is crucial to avoid last-minute scrambles. Specific flight prefixes indicate the operating airline and terminal:
  • 5J: Cebu Pacific (jet aircraft) – NAIA Terminal 3
  • DG: Cebgo (turboprop aircraft) – Primarily NAIA Terminal 2, with changes effective October 26 (See below).
  • T6: AirSWIFT (turboprop aircraft) – NAIA Terminal 2
  • Starting Oct. 26, select Cebgo (DG) flights between Manila and Naga, and all flights between Manila and San Jose (Occidental Mindoro) will operate from Clark International Airport (CRK).
  • All other DG flights to/from Manila remain at NAIA Terminal 2.

Arrive Early

  • Anticipate heavier traffic congestion and potential airport delays.
  • CEB recommends arriving at the airport at least three hours before departure for domestic flights and four hours for international flights.
  • Passengers traveling to Dubai can check in as early as seven hours before departure.
  • Check-in counters close 45 minutes (domestic) and 1 hour (international) before departure.
  • Boarding commences 45 minutes prior to departure.

Online Check-In is Key:

  • Bypass potentially long queues by utilizing CEB’s online check-in via the official mobile app or the “Manage Booking” section of the CEB website.
  • Online check-in is available from 48 hours up to one hour before domestic flights, and up to two hours before international flights.
  • Passengers with online check-in and no checked baggage can proceed directly to the boarding gate (domestic flights).

Streamline Immigration with eTravel Forms:

  • International travelers are strongly encouraged to register or update their eTravel forms within 72 hours (three days) before both departure from and arrival in the Philippines. Generate and save the QR code provided upon completion. For roundtrip flights, separate eTravel forms are required for departure and arrival.

Complete the Customs Declaration Form after generating the eTravel QR code. Access the eTravel portal at www.etravel.gov.ph.

Understand Baggage Policies

  • Passengers are allowed one carry-on bag (that fits in the overhead bin) and one personal item (that fits under the seat), with a combined weight limit of 7kg.
  • Excess baggage will be charged at the boarding gate. CEB encourages passengers to purchase prepaid baggage allowance online via the website or mobile app, offering savings of up to 4x compared to airport charges. Passengers can purchase up to three pieces of 20kg baggage, with options to add extra weight allowance (4kg, 8kg, or 12kg) per piece.

Self-Tag Luggage for Faster Bag Drop

  • Passengers departing from select domestic destinations (Bacolod, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Clark, Coron, Davao, General Santos, Iloilo, Manila, Puerto Princesa, Siargao, Tacloban, Tagbilaran, and Zamboanga) should self-tag their check-in luggage at designated kiosks before proceeding to the bag drop counters.
  • Self-bag drop kiosks are also available at NAIA Terminal 3 and Clark International Airport.

“Cebu Pacific is committed to providing a safe and efficient travel experience for all passengers during the Undas break,” said airline spokesperson Carmina Reyes-Romero.

“By following these simple guidelines, travelers can significantly reduce stress and enjoy a smoother journey.”
