MANILA, Philippines – Cebu Pacific, the country’s leading airline, has reached a historic milestone as it becomes the first domestic carrier to operate a 100-strong fleet.

The landmark achievement was marked by the arrival of a brand new Airbus A330neo, a next-generation aircraft with greater efficiency and a reduced environmental footprint.

The A330neo, the 12th of its kind in Cebu Pacific’s fleet, landed in Manila from Airbus’ Toulouse, France, facility, solidifying the airline’s position as the largest operator of A330neo aircraft in the Asia-Pacific region.

The delivery is the second of four A330neos scheduled to join the fleet this year, with a total of seven new aircraft expected by 2025.

The addition of the 459-seat A330neo allows Cebu Pacific to further expand its reach, serving both regional and long-haul routes with enhanced capacity and cost-effectiveness.

The expansion comes at a time of significant passenger growth.

In June 2025, the airline transported 2.2 million passengers, a 7.9 percent increase year-over-year.

From January to June, Cebu Pacific served 13.9 million passengers, a remarkable 21 percent surge from the 11.5 million served during the first half of 2024.

“Reaching 100 aircraft is more than a milestone. It reflects our unwavering commitment to make air travel accessible to more Filipinos,” stated Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific president and chief commercial officer.

“With a larger fleet, we’re able to operate more efficiently, enhance connectivity across the country and the region, and pass on the benefits of scale through even lower fares.”

Beyond increased capacity, the A330neo represents a significant step towards sustainability.

Airbus NEOs are designed to consume up to 25 percent less fuel per flight and produce lower noise levels compared to previous generations.

This fuel efficiency translates to a substantial reduction in carbon emissions, marking Cebu Pacific’s commitment to environmental responsibility.

Cebu Pacific currently boasts one of the youngest fleets globally, comprised of a diverse mix of 12 Airbus A330s, 40 Airbus A320s, 26 Airbus A321s, and 22 ATR turboprop aircraft.

This diverse fleet enables the airline to provide the most extensive network coverage within the Philippines, connecting communities and driving economic growth.

The additional A330neo further strengthens Cebu Pacific’s position as a leader in the Philippine aviation industry.
